Diak undertakes
consultancy, design, procurement and installation on a variety
of vessels, exclusively in developing countries. We have on
our team staff with 20 to 30 years solid experience as marine
superintendents, commissioning and sea trial engineers, and
the company is headed by a Naval Architect, a member of the
Royal Institute of Naval Architects in Great Britain who holds
an Honours Degree in Ship Science from the University of Southampton,
Faculty of Engineering, in England. Note that the RINA is
a member of The International Association of Classification
Societies IACS alongside Lloyds Register, and occupies one
of the ten seats on the IACS Quality Committee which operates
the Management System Certificate of Conformity. The University
of Southampton runs one of the world's leading academic marine
